My summer has been Scottish: after 10 days on wonderful vacation travelling on the country, I went to Inverness to take pictures on the ITERA race. It’s a non-stop adventure race of 5 days which is part of the world series championship (ARWS). The initial plan was to follow the FMR Team on this adventure which was plan to be one of the major objective of their season. Unluckily, 10 days before the start, they have been forced to withdraw because of 2 injured members. Thanks to Anne-Marie and Rob of Sleepmonsters.com and James, the race director; I redefine my plan to cover the race for the organization. Thanks a lot to them for having trust in me and having welcome me on their marshal team. I covered this event being part of the media team composed with Rob Howard (Sleepmonster), Ellie and Matt Green (Summit Fever Media)  and Johny Cook (independent photographer who was here for a press publication).

It has been a great experience to cover this race and to share with the media team who had more experiences than me. Scotland was a perfect place to this kind of event with wild areas and great possibilities on the 3 main sports of adventure race: MTB, Trek and Paddle. Of course, the Scottish weather has been part of the game with a lot of wind, fog, rain and it has made the race very thought! The race was hard for the racers but also as a photographer! Indeed, it was difficult to move on the field to reach the racers and once at a good position, being static make me a perfect target for the famous midges (some little flies which bit) !

During the race, I published every days 2 selections of pictures and you can find here the full albums of the race!

To download and use the pictures, everything is explained here.
